And ???

Don´t get your point really ??
If a metalband can do a cover on a musical, that only proves that they are capabale of "going ouside the square" .

i´ll respect your musicaltaste if you respect mine ...

Maiden is fine by me btw , at least with Paul di Anno as lead singer..

For me metal is Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica and so on.
Things change, nothing wrong with that.

What has stuck is Dr. Rock

I don't get why when a bloke posts a question about 'What's your favourite metal music?' people want to threadshit with a bunch of links to completely opposite styles?

I'm not saying stay on topic, but fair suck of the saveloy, let the younguns have their discussion over the screamin, yellin, raucus racket that sounds like a dozen cats in a jam jar full of nails and springs

This was possibly my fault, and for that I apologise, I had assumed Metal was some sort of Rock

For penance I looked it up in Wiki (highly inaccurate) and listened to YouTube and managed to get through 10 mins of the 10 top heavy metal bands (Death ? something? metal?).

I am happy for you to delete my above post as it has nothing to do with this.

Hmm, maybe some confusion here ?.

"metal" for most people up here in europe means Heavy metal, and some even "harder" varies on the tema.
Anyway thats what i listen to for now.
If someone dont like it , so what ... i dont like all kind of music but i dont peck on others for that..

But tonight it´s gonna be creedence and rock´n roll !! party !! :D

"So let's recap: ugly. Nordic, bowels, d-e words" :roflmao:

Johny Cash is what I say is rusty, and he kept his 'integrity' to the end.
Definitely a artist Im listening to.
I think integrity is the word, very few artists is able to keep that to the end.
ah, and, I do not want discuss 'integrity'.

Sorry for all those Motorhead links :) (One would be enough)

I hope the Nightwish people will have a long career. They are one of the few newer 'metal' bands I actually can listen to.
