Toasted Oak Wanted in Ireland

Has anyone got some burnt oak for sale in Ireland? I would like to lay some of my product down and I would like to experiment.

Thank you

I do know that StillDragon EU ships toasted oak to Ireland if you don't find anyone closer.

Where you at lad?
I get mine of a landscaper just outside Dublin that has a side business of selling old whiskey barrels.

Get their number so you can call em, sometimes their gate bell is broken.
No need to buy a whole barrel, I get a used stave at 3 euro a pop, they do look at you funny when you ask but I'm used to that.

I am sending Swedish pride some AP Johns MT+ Appalachian Oak mini staves so he can experiment with the good quality oak available in Australia. There is something special that good coopered dominos/mini staves brings to the bottle, must be something to do with there professional toasting process after oak has been seasoned for 60 months.

Let us know how you go with your oaking experiments once they touch down in Ireland lad. Hopefully your whisky will not turn green..... :roflmao: :roflmao:
