Wife's operation today

Postby S-Cackalacky » Wed Sep 13, 2017 5:36 am

My wife and I are off to the hospital today. She's undergoing ovarian cancer surgery. She's been doing well with chemo treatments and the oncologist seems optimistic about her recovery. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I may be off the grid for a few days. i'll report back in when we return home.

Best of luck to you both.....
Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
An echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine

Thoughts are with you S-Calackaty, my wife had the same surgery about 3 weeks ago. Fortunately the surgeons report that they were able to remove the whole cancer. Just some insurance radiation treatment to follow in a few weeks.
I sincerely hope that your result is as positive as ours.

Cheers.

Thanks all for the prayers and good thoughts. It went well. The surgeon was confident that the cancer is gone. She had 5 chemo treatments before the surgery (since last May) and will be going for 2 follow-up treatments in the coming months just to make sure any microscopic remnants are zapped.

It's been a long, hard row to hoe, but she came through it okay. She's done a good job of taking care of herself and following doctor's instructions - very proud of her.

I'll still be focusing on her needs for the next couple of months, so the hobby is still on hold for now. I'm chompin' at the bit to finish my CCVM build and get started using it.

Thanks again everyone. Life is good.
