Craft Distiller's Swap meet, anyone?

Has anyone considered hosting a regional 'swap meet' for people interested in distilling? I'm particularly interested in the region that would include PA, NY, MD, WV, and maybe OH.

We have several pieces of gear that we'd like to either trade for something or sell outright.

Would be willing to form a small working group to explore where and how such a 'swap meet' event might developed.

If you might have an interest, weigh in, or PM me.

Boomtown.

This is one of the pieces we'd like to bring to a swap meet....
The pot is a 55 gallon SS barrel with 2 @ 220v 30a heating elements, each controlled separately with the controller. The still head is a 4"x24", with 1/2" exit, leading to a 1/2"x4' water jacketed chiller.

In stripping mode, (hi heat running) it will produce about 1 gallon of 45% alcohol per hour, but we used it to finish the stripped runs (load of about 45 gal of 45% - 90p) out at 80% (160p) at about @ about 1/2 gallon per hour.

It has a 2" drain port at the bottom, a 6" cleaning port near the top, and a 5lb psi pop-off valve plus a 1 3/4" fill port and 2" fill port on the top. All fittings are of the tri-clamp variety, with SS waivers to seal them during the run cycles.

It sits on a 18" SS stand.

We sold two used 10 gallon Gibbs barrels and one of the new ones, but we've now got another empty 10 gallon barrel available.

Still hoping to develop interest in a swap meet somewhere within a reasonable range of D.C.

Ouch and double ouch! This after having the lady in the local food truck, while taking my order, asked if if I spelled "Bob" with one "o" or two.

That's what I get, is no respect.

I feel for you. (True Story). I once had an instructor who thought I was being crude when I told her my name (Dick). I was so offended I left the class and complains to the school administration and got reassigned to a different class. At the time I didn't think it was funny, till I remembered Sgt. Kizma from my Army days. His name was Peter. When we were shipping out to Germany, the called our names through the loudspeaker as our time came up to board. "Sgt Kizma, Peter". The whole company roared with laughter.
