Anyone heading to New Orleans
Mardi Gras day is
Tuesday, February 17
but carnival season starts 2 weeks earlier

I shoulda gone when I was single. There's too many boobies to even consider it now. :cry:

Mardi Gras has gotten too crazy for my liking, leastways in the city it has. (or maybe I've just gotten too old).

I like French Quarter Fest the best. More local and low key. Jazz Fest is good too, but it has gotten so big now.

Not going for MG but will be there visiting friends in mid-January. They live in the Garden district.

Frankie and Johnny's is about as local as it gets. I met my wife there.
Try the pepper rings (green bell peppers fried up like onion rings)
