Fiberglass rope for a gasket

It does work, but for only a single use scenario. The pressure of bolting down the flanges tears the rope apart. Worst case, stick to flour paste. I figured I'd save someone the headache of trying this type of gasket.

Just put a bead of silicone on the bottom of your flange. After it cures, you've got a permanent gasket. I don't like fiberglass.
