Wikipedia says,'Alcohol proof in the United States is defined as twice the percentage of alcohol by volume'.
Geoff

Sorry, maybe the label says 85 proof but to me it looked like 35 proof. G.

Try that on a barrel background as a second choice. I like the idea of simple.

Nice looking label. Age statement?

No age statement yet, but I am not sure any will last over a few months...lol

I will try on a different background, and I might make the Star a bit smaller.

both labels look cool to me. Simple, down home, and cool. Nice.

You can put pretty much what you want on the label to suit your own purposes. Things like - run date, wood used for aging, grain bill, etc. I like your original version best, but the one with barrel staves also looks good.

the first one ice nice but with the font and star size of the second one.

Is this just for you or are you intending to go legal?

Might just be me, but I never go fancied than masking tape on the bottle, ABV is in and around 40% most of the time, but never measured properly

The labels are just part of the process I enjoy and are just for me.
I had to find a better font than the original for ease of reading

I will change the background in the 2nd to the one from the 1st and see how it looks
