Garden 2016

Downsizing/neatening our side vegie patch. It's not the only vegie patch we have, but i am losing a significant amount of space to neaten it up. I will end up with more useable space, just a bit less of it.

Looks good Punkin. I am waiting for some rain to get mine planted. We had 105 inches of rain earlier this year and now can't buy a drop. My 1/2 acre is just too big to water by hand. I'll do it when I have too but you can't beat a good rain. Time is getting short to get the winter garden going. All I need is a slow 1/2 inch rain and I'll be golden.
Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
An echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine

Are those horse troughs? Fantastic idea. We've been toying with the idea of converting our traditional veggie gardens to raised beds. It looks great (and less stooping -- I'm getting old)

Nah they are purpose designed garden beds made from colourbond roofing iron. They come in standard or custom sizes, last a long time and look good.

Would be really easy to turn them into wicking beds too if that was your thing.
