Help with shotgun size

Postby ufo8mycow » Sun Apr 07, 2013 12:16 pm

I have a 15.5 gallon keg boiler with a 5500w element and a 2" potstill on top. I would like to build a shotgun condenser for stripping runs at high power but i would like to do it with what i have on hand and i would also like to keep it about 12" long.

I have about 10' of 3/8 od 5/16 id copper tube and some 1.5" or 2" for the jacket. I can fit 7 tubes into the 1.5" not sure about the 2"

So would the the 1.5 be big enough or would i need to step it up to 2"
