Plates with VM head?

Yeah I often use two or three plates under my LM.
Make sure that you take the bottom scrubber out of the column, there needs to be some space.
The match is not as natural as you might think because the plates need power, and the bok wants to equalise and do its own thing in its own time.
Makes really nice vodka.

Highball will run the VM head with his plates from time to time. He has a pal that also does.
Maybe he will chime?

I run one under my column. I'm wondering how 4 with no packed column would do. I'm getting my parts together now. I guess maybe I'll see.

Done it, I was trying to get the rest of the way to azentrop. It did help but not enough.
I got a column that is too short or is that a ceiling not high enough? The rest of the column was packed .

1 plate work like a doubler. I did make to azentrop for the whole run but did hit it for the first part running very slowly. I really like the window, I can see how much I am refluxing.
Makes for an easier and more amusing run.

Will make it the whole run soon , with my new etched stainless steel wool alla mini me. The etch does make it hold more water for sure, darn things almost never dry completely out.
