Recipe #1 Procedure
First you will take a big pot with enough room for 2 gallons of water with a few inches to spare and bring that 2 gallons of water to a boil. Slowly pour in the entire jar of wheat germ and simmer it for 30-90 minutes. The longer you boil it the better it works up to 90 minutes. Sometimes I don’t have the patience for the full 90 and just do 30 and let it steep for another hour or so with a lid on it. The longer Boil seems to speed fermentation time.
